Classes

Each class offers a unique look into what we do here at the Meat People.

Tickets cost $125 per class can be purchased over the phone or in person at the shop. We also have class gift certificates if you would like to give a class as a gift!

Chicken Breakdown

Friday, June 7th, 7pm

Join our butcher in a hands-on class where you learn how to break down a chicken, spatchcock a chicken and truss a chicken for roasting. You get to take home a whole bird, spatchcocked or broken down, and have snacks and drinks. Runs approximately 2 hours.

Sausage Making

Hands-on time with our butchers learning how to grind, mix, and stuff pork sausage from scratch with fresh ingredients. Take home 2 lbs. of the sausage you just made. Runs approximately 2 hours.

Beef Breakdown

Watch our butchers cut up a whole beef shoulder section from start to finish. Taste some steaks from the section & get a full walkthrough of every single muscle. Snacks & beverages provided.

Whole Hog Breakdown

Friday, April 5, 7pm

Watch our butchers cut up a whole hog from a local farm. We’ll taste some delicious cuts from the whole hog, and you’ll take something tasty home as well.

Snacks & beverages provided.

Advanced Sausage Making

Tuesday, May 7, 6pm

Hands-on sausage making class with an emphasis on advanced sausages like summer sausage and beef sticks. Great for hunters looking to make their own venison sausage. Includes snacks and drinks, as well as sausage to take home.
